The purpose of the TWDGA is to promote competition among members of the Association, to conduct tournaments and championship events, and to establish and maintain high standards of sportsmanship.

The Toledo Women’s District Golf Association begins it's 104th year on May 3, 2024 at ******Golf Club. The TWDGA has a proud tradition of promoting competition among members. Weekly tournaments are held every Friday from the beginning of May until the end of September at different member clubs. Championship events are included throughout the summer. A main goal of the group is to maintain high standards of sportsmanship.

What began as four clubs; Toledo Country Club, Inverness, Sylvania and Toledo Golf Club, has grown to 27 clubs. The clubs are located in Northwestern Ohio and Southeastern Michigan. Membership today includes almost 150 women.

The TWDGA has a solid reputation among golfers in the area and continues to be an advocate for the game of golf and its fine values.

TWDGA RULES GOVERNING CADDIES

If a player chooses to have a caddy at any TWDGA event that does not have a caddy program, she must contact the pro shop of the course in question and obtain permission from the golf professional to bring her own caddy.  This player will still be obligated to pay the cart and entry (lunch) fee at this course.  Per USGA rules, the caddy is the responsibility of the player and she will be held accountable for any rule infraction/s or inappropriate behavior committed by her caddy.

If the golf club, hosting the event, has a caddy program, then the only acceptable caddy will be one from that club.
